Rome — When Truth Appears
Easter Sunday, 20 April 2025, St Peter’s Square. In the middle of the crowd gathered for Pope Francis’s blessing, a few believers raise two black banners: “Allegiance is to God”. The next morning, the Pope dies.
This documentary follows these believers from France, Belgium and Switzerland, from the night road to St Peter’s Square. It asks the question that runs through the whole story: who appoints the guide of the believers, God or men? It first sets out the position of the Catholic Church and how the conclave works, then the conviction of our faith: divine appointment, and the recognition of Abdullah Hashem Aba Al Sadiq (From Him Is Peace) as the guide appointed by God.
It includes the participants’ own words, the speech addressed to Christians the day after Easter, and the answers to the accusation of being the Antichrist. The facts are dated and checked; the spiritual reading of the events is presented as a conviction, without claiming historical proof. The film ends with what we offer: faithfulness to God, justice, sharing and a life of fellowship.
Available in French and English, with subtitles.
