Film in English, with English subtitles.

What does it mean to be free when our way of life is misunderstood? Through the daily life of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light (AROPL) in Crewe, this documentary explores community life, mutual support and the fundamental need to belong to a family.

Adapted from the article “First They Came for AROPL” by Taymour Elalfy, published in The Divine Just State, it brings to the screen the author’s view of his community: shared responsibilities, the bonds that are built, and the upheaval experienced in the wake of the police operation of 29 April 2026.

Bringing together images of the community, narration and soundscapes, the film invites viewers to discover the people behind the labels and to reflect on freedom of conscience, human dignity and the right to choose a different way of life.

An invitation to listen, to understand and to look beyond prejudice.
