We are gravely concerned about the forced disappearance of two Iranian believers, Saeed Jarrahian (born 30 November 1982) and Abbas Jafari Najaf (born 11 April 1973).
On 10 February 2025, between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m., both men were arrested while peacefully distributing flyers related to their faith. It is believed that they were detained by Iranian security forces. Since their arrest, they have been held in Evin Prison’s intelligence section with no formal charges or trial.
The only known communication came from Abbas Jafari Najaf, who was allowed to make a brief phone call to his family, confirming his detention. No further contact or visitation has been permitted. Families have been told by prison officials to wait until a court session, with no clear indication of when that might occur.
The Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light condemns this violation of fundamental human rights and calls for the immediate release of Saeed Jarrahian and Abbas Jafari Najaf, and for Iran to end its ongoing persecution of religious minorities.
